Celebrate Summer — A Give-Away!

It’s already July!  Fourth-of-July — Our Red/White/Blue Holiday week!!

Parades! Tasty stuff on the Grill!  Sparklers!  Watermelon!  Fireworks!

And I think it’s time for a Pottery Give-Away!!

A Maasha Envelope Vase!  Stoneware, hand-built, soda fired.  I love making these vases — Two slabs of clay, carefully attached at the edges, pouffed like an ‘envelope’, always fired on the top shelf of the kiln with a bit of extra wood-ash.  A simple-but-dramatic vessel for summer flowers; for flowers any time of year.

If you’d like to give this Envelope Vase a new home (USA/Canada only, please) — Simply enter a Comment by 12:00 midnight July 7th for a random drawing.  Winner will be notified!

Procedure (very simple):

1 –You send in a Comment (click on ‘Comments’ below)….

Let me know if you’re a fellow potter, a fellow blogger, why you would love a new Vase in your life, or anything else you wish to share.  Yes, you may enter as often as you wish; and feel free to tell your FRIENDS to enter!

2 — I will compile all Comments received by the Deadline of Sunday, July 7th (Midnight).  I will hold a random drawing.

3 — I will announce the Winner on the following Blog Post.  (I will contact Winner to obtain a ship-to address)

Suggestion:  If you’re not already a Subscriber, just enter your Email Address (above, upper right) to receive notices of MaashaClay Postings.

Happy Fourth-of-July everyone!!  Happy Holiday Weekend!!

  1. Hi Marcia…Would love to have one of your soda-fired pieces…this is something that I have never done, soda-firing that is.

  2. Hi Marcia,
I am a hobby potter and I love the effect you get in your wood firings. I love pottery ….. and flowers!

    • Hi Elaine — Thank you for your comment on my Blog! Glad to hear you’re a Potter; and you enjoy flowers. I consider myself flower-challenged, but I love making vases anyway.
      Thanks again — Marcia
