Summer Give-Away!!

Turtle Wants A New Home!

This summer, I’ve been having FUN making Garden Goodies — Turtles, and Chickens, and Frogs, and Ducks.  And then firing all these critters in our new Soda Kiln at Edina Art Center….

To CELEBRATE another good firing (and a very hot summer) — I’m offering one of my newest Garden Turtles as a GIVE-AWAY!!

A smiling, happy, soda fired Turtle — Who wants a new home…. 

Give-Away includes:

            – Soda Fired Turtle (for the Garden, or the Porch, or the Deck)

Procedure (very simple):

1 –You send in a Comment (click on ‘Comments’ below)

Let me know if you’re a fellow potter, a fellow foodie, a gardener, a fellow blogger, or anything else you wish to share.  Yes, you may enter as often as you wish; and feel free to tell your FRIENDS to enter!

2 — I will compile all Comments received by the Deadline of Sunday, July 31st (Midnight).  That’s easy to remember — The last day of the month.

3 — My Nephew (who is FIVE) will draw an entry (a random drawing).  In the event my Nephew is unavailable, my neighbors have a five-year-old.

4 — I will announce the Winner on the following Blog Post.  (I will contact Winner to obtain a ship-to address)

    Maybe I will be lucky and win a second time. I have enjoyed having and using the bowl that I won.

    I wish that I had a soda kiln available for firing, however will have to stick with ^6 electric and Raku for the present. I do enjoy your posting, especially the recipes and also seeing what pottery you are working on.

    BTW, I make ‘Toad Abodes’ that look like turtle shells.

    The heat is oppressive here as well. Keep cool. Gail Laughlin

  2. Love the goggles on the turtle! What a fun way to spend some time with clay!!!
    I am a fellow potter and especially enjoy seeing your food-pot shots. If I had photo skills, this would be something I would love to do. My cupboard is full of various potters’ works and I love to cook.
    Though I have no pots by you, I would really be tickled to win your turtle to place in my garden!

  3. Hi Turtle creator! I liked seeing the turtle in the kiln with the “creature” tucked under its shell for firing!
