Sooooo busy! Getting ready for my upcoming Studio Sale – The Lake Minnetonka Arts Tour (barely two weeks away). I’ve been busy making new work, trying to get it fired in time, prepping my house, cleaning my studio….
With all this preparation and busy-busy, I need something quick and easy for dinner — A quick pasta with smoked salmon, and some springtime asparagus.
The Food – Pasta with Smoked Salmon and Asparagus
I often have a bit of left-over Salmon, or a bit Smoked Salmon – Either makes a great pasta dish. For a Salmon Pasta, I make a creamy sauce with goat cheese, cream, and herbs. I add sautéed Shiitake Mushrooms, steamed Asparagus, and chunks of Smoked Salmon. Bingo! It’s quick and truly tasty over pasta – Delicate but earthy at the same time.
The Pottery – Soda Fired Plate
I think the Smoked Salmon Pasta looks delicious on one of my colorful Plaid Plates — Stoneware, soda fired. I haven’t featured my soda fired work too much here on my Blog. I love making these plates — I apply several different slips in overlapping layers at various phases of the making process. Every so often, the ‘plaid’ design changes a bit. I have one published in the 500 Plates book by Lark Publishing.
And I have a fair number of these plates available for my Studio Sale coming up. Again — Here is Link:
